Classroom expectations: Students should be on time for class and ready to work when the bell rings. Homework should be out, students should be working on the Problem of the Day. Students should be involved the entire class- listening, taking notes, asking and answerig questions, trying problems. The more you put into a course, the more you get out of it!
Students should be respectful of other students and the teacher at all times. Do not interrupt or talk when some one else is talking. No question or answer in unimportant. Do not be afraid to ask questions!
All academic work is to be yours and yours alone. All members should contribute equally to a group assignment.
Any time at the end of class should be used to practice problems, ask questions, or start homework.
Cell phone usage: Cell phone may not be used in class at any time, unless expressly directed by the teacher.
Make-up work: If you are absent, plan to find out what you missed from a classmate or the website. You need to check with me when you return to arrange for making up any quizzes or tests. If you miss class because of a field trip, yo are responsible for any work due the day you get back. School policy allows one day of additional time to make up work for each day of absence. Please make up quizzes and tests promptly or risk losing credit! Check X2 from time to time to make sure you are not missing work. I will not chase after you.
Extra help: I am available in room 134 before and after school most days (no appointment necessary). If possible, let me know in advance, just in case I have a meeting scheduled and will not be available. Feel free to stop by, even if you only have one question. Clearing up a misunderstanding early can be much more useful that waiting until you feel completely confused.
